Punjabi Ibrox is a straightforward Indian restaurant tucked along Paisley Road West in Glasgow, serving up hearty, well-portioned dishes in a casual setting. The space is practical rather than decorative, making it a spot where the focus clearly lands on the food rather than the frills. It’s the kind of place locals turn to when craving classic Indian flavors without fuss.

The menu puts a spotlight on familiar crowd-pleasers, with flexible options for spice levels that accommodate everyone from the mildly curious to the serious heat seekers. A standout is their garlic naan, which seems to be a favourite for dipping into the various curries — the balance of chewiness and garlicky aroma adds a simple but memorable layer to the meal.

Punjabi Ibrox works well for groups or casual dinners, especially when there’s a desire for generous portions, as rice and naan servings here rarely disappoint in size. This also makes it a practical choice for informal gatherings or event catering, evidenced by patrons happily relying on them for last-minute buffets that come together with little hassle but plenty of flavour.

The atmosphere is welcoming but functional, with attentive staff who are happy to guide diners through the menu and offer tailored recommendations. This adds an approachable element, making it easy to try something new or stick to familiar favourites with confidence.

If you’re in Glasgow and looking for straightforward, no-nonsense Indian food with a focus on delivering well-seasoned dishes in a relaxed environment, Punjabi Ibrox fits the bill. Lunchtimes and early evenings are good times to visit—when the restaurant strikes a balance between lively and laid-back.

Food portions for the rice and naan were big and well prepared. The garlic naan is a game changer when dipped into the different curries on offer. Wide selection of different curry styles and meats to pair it so you can get a co bination to your taste. You can also choose the spice level that's to your liking so you can enjoy the food regardless of your spice tolerance. The downside for dine-in is that the interior looks depressing and the restaurant looked like it was closed from the outside.

We had a school reunion Saturday 8th November and Punjabi provided the most amazing buffet. We only ordered 2 hours beforehand and at 9pm, as arranged, a fantastic buffet was delivered, arranged on lovely platters complete with serving tongs. The food was piping hot, delicious and didn't last long. Even those who had eaten beforehand still came for a plate of food.Great value for money and staff were amazing including making sure our gluten free people were looked after. We'll definitely be using Punjabi again!

Sat in and had delivery. Food & service were excellent. Will use again and happy to score 5 stars. Been a few years since I was here. Great food and lovely host called Jazz. A real gem and well worth heading out along the Paisley Rd. Excellent food!

I'm a boring git, always order chicken tikka main course and it's very consistent, nice juicy pieces of chicken and a sauce packed full of flavour. Naan can occasionally be a tad doughy but I'm not going to take a star off for that. Nice family who own it.
